I am the daughter of a passionate gardener. I grew up in rural Wisconsin gardening alongside my mother Linda, who is still going strong.
I have always been attuned to nature; rain, snow, sunshine, mud, bugs, sweat...I love it all, and am wonderfully at home in gardens.
I was a Peace Corps volunteer out of college and taught physics and chemistry in Africa for two years and hitchhiked through central and north Africa.
Since 1995 I have been actively involved with an incredible nonprofit organization, Be Present, Inc. (www.BePresent.org). We support, teach, and train leadership skills to a diverse community of girls and women, boys and men. We believe that change happens one individual at a time, and we also provide a community of practice for folks to continue to learn and teach about making and sustaining positive change in their lives, families, and communities.
I also play violin, create art, write, patronize the library, and am active in several other nonprofits along with being the hugely proud mom of my wonderful son Jordan.
I am excited about my gardening business-I have found that few gardeners out there offer the skills and services I provide. This is more than a job, it is a passion of mine and I bring my artistic sense of color, texture, balance, energy and love of creating and building community and happy families into play as I work.
I believe in living in alignment with my ideals, and have done so in my gardening business. I get to employ and support wonderful people while doing what I love by bringing a wonderful gift to my clients: creating beautiful, thriving, well designed garden that reflect each vision, home, and budget.
